The Naugatuck Public school system has decided to close schools Thursday and Friday (Feb. 14 & 15) of this week.
Naugatuck Department of Public Works crews continue to plow streets and clear walkways. They were not confident that all of them would be safe for children to return to school this week.
The schools already had planned days off for Monday and Tuesday of next week (Feb. 18 & 19), so the students will be back to school on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
Students have been off in Naugatuck all week.
