My 3 children and I have taken classes at Sokols for 2.5 years. Mr Sokol and Ms Silva cover a wide range of topics. With the kids they cover the basic taekwondo curriculum in addition to character development, self defense and bullying prevention. They teach the kids reaction time skills though a variety of "games" at the end of class. The instructors are kind and keep classes fun for the kids. My son has ADHD and taekwondo has been an important part of developing his focus.
The ATA (American Taekwondo Assoc) is an excellent family school and many parents take classes as well. I have made many great friends through Sokol's and love taking classes. It's a great way to sneak in exercise while having fun! Adult class focuses on forms, sparring/one steps, self defense and weapons. My personal favorite is the weapons training, but sparring is a great workout and stress reliever!
