Police: Two Alleged Thieves Caught

Mary Crisculo, 53, of 25 Chester St., Plainville, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy at sixth-degree larceny after being accused of stealing $303.64 worth of merchandise from Stop & Shop in Mountview Plaza at 3 p.m. on May 16, police said. She was released on a promise to appear May 29 at Waterbury Superior Court.

Dawn Savino, 40, of 38 Brookside Ave., Torrington, was charged with sixth-degree larceny after being accused of stealing $226.56 worth of merchandise from Walmart on New Haven Road at 4:24 p.m. on May 16, police said. She was released on a promise to appear May 29 at Waterbury Superior Court.

Matthew Zaccaginni, 18, of 113 Rice Lane Ext., Beacon Falls, was arrested on an active arrest warrant for possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana after police learned of the warrant when they pulled him over for a motor vehicle investigation at 1:30 a.m. on Propsect Street May 17. He was released on a $500 surety bond.

Eric Miller, 19, of 461 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged with disorderly conduct after police pulled him over for a motor vehicle investigation and learned of a warrant for his arrest, police said. He was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.  

John Brown, 26, of 266 Morning Dove Road, Naugatuck, was charged with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Carlos Velazquez, 31, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree assault after pushing a woman into a wall during an argument, police said. He was held on a $5,000 non-surety bond and was arraigned last week at Waterbury Superior Court.

Paul Sandri, 62, of 59 Hillview St., Naugatuck, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol after being pulled over at 12:36 a.m. May 18 on High Street, police said. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and given a court date of May 30 at Waterbury Superior Court.

William Lance, 24, of 46 Carroll St., Naugatuck, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol after being pulled over on Maple Street at 1:50 a.m. on May 18, police said. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and given a court date of May 30 at Waterbury Superior Court.

Amy Wergin, 29, of 108 Oak St., Naugatuck, was charged with breach of peace after an incident on May 18, police said. She was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and given a court date of May 29 at Waterbury Superior Court.

Samuel Dukes, 46, of 74-4 Round Tree Drive, Naugatuck, was charged with evading responsibility and reckless driving after he struck a vehicle on New Haven Road and then took off at a high rate of speed, passing vehicles in the oncoming lane around 3:30 p.m. on May 18, police said. He was located on South Main Street a few minutes later and arrested, police said. Dukes, who also did not have a valid driver’s license because it was suspended and didn’t have a registered motor vehicle, was given a court date of May 30 at Waterbury Superior Court after being released on a $1,000 surety bond, police said.

Marcos Ramos, 23, of 343 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol after being pulled over at 5:52 p.m. on Church Street on May 18, police said.  He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and given a court date of May 30 in Waterbury.

Richard Clark, 34, of 40 Lewis Circle, Naugatuck, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol after being pulled over at 2 a.m. on New Haven Road, police said. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and given a court date of May 30 in Waterbury.

Eroll Hodza, 25, of 12 Corn Tassle Road, Naugatuck, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol after being pulled over on Tracy An Court at 1:03 a.m. on May 19, police said. He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and given a court date of May 30 at Waterbury Superior Court.

Jesse Brown, 32, of 138 Under Hill Road, Newtown, was charged with criminal impersonation for lying about his identity because he was wanted on active arrest warrants, police said. He was also charged with three counts of failure to appear. He was released on a $1,000 non-surety  bond and given a court date of May 30 at Waterbury Superior Court.
