Viewfinder: Softball and a Magician

Our weekly look through the lens takes us to Municipal Stadium in Waterbury and the Naugatuck Historical Society.

This week we will look at both of Naugatuck's Joan Joyce teams in semi-final action Tuesday night.

The Burgundy Babes fell to the Cheshire Wildcats after beating the top seed Watertown 16-U team while Team Naugatuck beat a second Watertown team and got revenge on the Cheshire team that eliminated the second Naugy team. Naugatuck beat Cheshire 7-6 Wednesday to take the title and Gillian Fortier was named MVP for the championship.

We will also look at The Naugatuck Historical Society's "First Thursday" program where Magician Chris Lengyel performed. To find out more about Chris, who is from Naugatuck, visit www.freakout-entertainment.webs.com.
