Festival of Trees Fundraiser a Success for United Way

The trees get better year after year. You can view them at ion Bank.

The annual Festival of Trees fundraiser held at ion Bank on Church Street in Naugatuck Friday night was a success. Enjoy these photos from the event contributed by Sandy Lee, a volunteer on the marketing committee for the United Way of Naugatuck & Beacon Falls.

A total of 111 trees were donated this year, along with three wreaths. Thirteen trees were auctioned off Friday night. The remaining trees and wreaths can be viewed at the bank, 87 Church St., during bank hours next week. They will also be open for viewing tonight, Monday, Dec. 9, during the 10th annual Holiday kickoff.

Those who view the trees can buy raffle tickets for $1 apiece or 15 for $10 for a chance to win a tree of their choice. Winners will be notified after the raffle is complete on Dec. 14. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Naugatuck & Beacon Falls.
