Event to Raise Money for Fireworks

Efforts underway to make Naugatuck display a success.

A local organization that works with children to find creative play opportunities for social and intellectual development will hold an art program for children that will also raise money for the Naugatuck fireworks celebration on the Fourth of July.

Kids Create of Naugatuck is working in collaboration with the Naugatuck Parks and Recreation Department on a creative art program, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, at the Kids Create headquarters, 677 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck.

Children will participate in creative art projects that cost $8; $2 from each project will go toward the fireworks fundraiser. Art projects will include canvas painting, beading and clay projects.
