Poker Bike Run for Hidden Acres a Major Success

Event raised money for a Naugatuck-based therapeutic riding center that treats children and adults with special needs.

The innaugural Hidden Acres Therapeutic Riding Center's Benefit Poker Run on Sunday was a great success! The day was beautiful, the turnout awesome and number of bikes and cars was exciting.

Slainte's Pub of Naugatuck played a huge role in the event, opening their doors and parking lot. Wheelers Market Cafe from Woodbridge provided yummy, just roasted pulled pork and opened their doors for one of our stops.

The ride was about 36 miles, beginning at Slainte's heading south to Wheelers Market Café in Woodbridge.  The next stop was Henry's garage in Bethany, then onto Dunkin Donuts in Prospect.  The ride would not have been complete without a stop at the Hidden Acres Therapeutic Riding Center on Gabriel Drive and a chance to see the farm and meet the horses.  Our riders ended up at Slainte's for the last draw of their Poker Hand.

Many volunteers and donations plus our great riders made this a fun event and not to missed next year.
