Road Race Sunday to Benefit Naugatuck Man

Bob Veillette Road Race will be held in Waterbury. Information and registration certificate attached.

 

WATERBURY — The 2012 Bob Veillette 5K Road Race and Walk in downtown Waterbury will be held Sunday at Library Park at the corner of Meadow and Grand streets.

Registration opens at noon. The 5K and walk begin at 1:30 p.m. and should wrap up by 2:30 p.m. The time commitment for volunteers depends on the task assigned. Volunteers can arrive as early 10:30 a.m. to help with set up and stay until 3: 30 p.m. to help with clean up. But all volunteers must arrive at Library Park no later than 11:30 a.m. and stay until the run and walk are done at 2:30 p.m.

Friends and family of Naugatuck resident Bob Veillette, who was paralyzed from the nose down after a massive stroke in April 2006, hold the Bob Veillette 5K Road Race and Walk as a way to raise money to help pay for his medical care so he may continue to live at home with his wife Bonnie.
