On Thursday, a Whiskeys of the World tasting event will be held in Derby to raise money for Valley Goes Pink, which is an ongoing event in October that benefits The Hewitt Center For Breast Wellness at Griffin Hospital.

On Friday, the Valley Community Foundation and Valley Substance Abuse Council will hold a program to educate businesses and agencies in the Valley on the new Connecticut law authorizing the medical use of marijuana and its impact in municipalities across the state.
