The elephant in the room, though, remains PED's, and widespread abuse in the major pro sports. 300 lb behemoths running the 40 in under 5 seconds? Hopefully the NFL, MLB, NHL, pro soccer etc., will start serious testing in my lifetime. Of course that is unlikely if the fans & writers continue with the blind eye. The shame of "Armstronging" is shared by all who blindly covered the LA era, with few exceptions. David Walsh and Paul Krimmage are two of the few journalistic heroes of that era. I wonder if there are any covering the major sports nowadays.
