I just hope that the town finds a way to keep the course open, my understanding is that the courseRead More needs tax dollars to break even. In this day and ag it is hard to ask the tax payers to support an activity that is supposed to be self funding.

Such a well written and thoughtful article! Thanks. It was good that you pointed outcomeRead More "good" stories as well as the obvious ugly (Armstrong) and ludicrous (Teo). The elephant in the room, though, remains PED's, and widespread abuse in the major pro sports. 300 lb behemoths running the 40 in under 5 seconds? Hopefully the NFL, MLB, NHL, pro soccer etc., will start serious testing in my lifetime. Of course that is unlikely if the fans & writers continue with the blind eye. The shame of "Armstronging" is shared by all who blindly covered the LA era, with few exceptions. David Walsh and Paul Krimmage are two of the few journalistic heroes of that era. I wonder if there are any covering the major sports nowadays.

Kudos to Coach Kuczenski who did an excellent job keeping his players focused under extremelyRead More difficult circumstances this past season. But I think they made the right decision to being in a coach with no prior ties to the program. Make a clean break form the recent past and really allow the program to move forward. Best of luck coach!! You have some excellent players coming back!

This could be a very interesting development. Should the three Bridgeport schools apply and beRead More accepted, should Oxford apply and be accepted, that would bring the NVL to 18 teams. I imagine there would be a southern division and northern division.
