Cross Street Intermediate School was, for decades, a elementary school that served children from the kindergarten to…More 5th grade. The district reconfigured in 2002 and Cross Street became an intermediate school for grades 5 and 6, although it is technically still classified as an elementary school through the state.</p> <p>The school offers instruction in math, language and sciences among other faculties. Students partake in several programs, including DARE, programs presented by the National Guard, charity for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, "Hats for Haiti" and donations to the Naugatuck Ecumenical Food Bank.</p> <p>The current principal is Christopher Montini.
