Located inside the historic Tuttle House, the central office for the Naugatuck Board of Education encompasses theMore superintendent's office and other administrative offices for the borough's 10 schools. Within the boundaries of this 36,000-person borough are six elementary schools, two intermediate schools, one middle school and one high school.</p> <p>The historic building is also the location of the district's financial and administrative offices. </p> <p>The current superintendent is Superintendent John Tindall-Gibson.</p>

City Hill Middle School is a large, multi-level building located on Naugatuck's east end. The school educates theMore borough youth in grades 7 and 8, providing 28 academic teachers in math, science, social studies and language, as well as 12 teachers in art, physical education, music and technical education.</p> <p>The school also has a principal, two assistant principals and two guidance counselors, as well as two nurses. A total of 12 certified staff teach special education.</p> <p>The school hosts several sports teams for the students and offers a myriad of extracurricular activities and clubs.</p> <p>The current principal is Christine Blanchard. Andrew Avenue School Elementary School

Andrew Avenue School is nestled in one of Naugatuck's neighborhoods, just off of the road where it gets its namesake.More This K-4 school is made up of 10 classrooms, with two per grade level, averaging out to a student-to-teacher ratio of 20:1. There are 10 classroom teachers, a reading consultant and a resource room teacher as well as five regular education and special education paraprofessionals.</p> <p>The current head of the school is Principal Taran Gruber.</p>

Hillside Intermediate School

Given to the borough of Naugatuck in 1905 by philanthropist John Howars Whittemore, Hillside Intermediate School beganMore as the original Naugatuck High School until the current high school was built in 1959. The building is one of Naugatuck's more historic structures, designed by the famous architectural firm McKim, Mead and White. "Home of the Eagles," the Hillside Intermediate School educates children in grades 5 and 6. The school offers academic courses in math, science, English and history, as well as extracurricular activities including band, music and physical education. The current principal is Johnna Hunt.
