The Naugatuck Town Hall, known colloquially as the borough hall, is the central location for all of the borough'sMore main offices. The building houses 19 offices that cater to a majority of Naugatuck's municipal functions. Other offices, such as Parks and Recreation and the Board of Education, are located in separate buildings in Naugatuck.</p> <p>Several boards and commissions hold nightly, public meetings at the Naugatuck Town Hall, including the Board of Mayor and Burgesses which meets in the Hall of Burgesses on the fourth floor. </p> <p>The building was constructed in the 1960s, after a prior town hall was taken down.</p>

The Naugatuck Teen Theater is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the theatrical development of studentsMore from Naugatuck, Beacon Falls and several other towns in the region. The theater holds workshops for teenagers, instructed by veteran directors and actors. All workshops are held at St. Michael's Hall, which is located next to the St. Michael's Episcopal Church in downtown Naugatuck. </p> <p> </p>

The Water Pollution Control, stationed in the same office as the Engineering Department, is responsible forMore assessments of Naugatuck's sewer connections, permits and approvals. The department, located on the third floor of the Town Hall, also handles sewer backup complaints and manages other needs of the town and the Wastewater Treatment Plant.</p> <p>The Water Pollution Control Department also deals with permits for restaurants that wish to dispose of fats, oils and greases.</p> <p>The WPCA and Engineering secretary is Rachael Brainard.</p>

The Building Department of the Naugatuck Town Hall consists of the town's building inspector, who works to regulateMore construction, use and occupancy of the town's structures. The building inspector applies the regulations based on the state's building codes. The department is located on the third floor of Town Hall. The current building inspector is Bill Herzman. The department ensures that the standards set by the codes are met through a series of steps. This includes review of the building plan, issuing a permit and conducting an on-site inspection. Some specific buildings require no permit, however residents are asked to consult with the Building Department on that matter. Permit applications are accepted Monday through Friday, from 8am to 10am and from 2pm to 4pm.
