Naugatuck Chamber Changes the Date of Its Mayoral Debate

The Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce debate between Bob Mezzo and Jim O'Sullivan will be held on Oct. 29.

The Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce has changed the date of its mayoral debate to Tuesday, Oct. 29. 

The event will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at Jesse Camille's Restaurant, 615 Church St. in Naugatuck. 

Incumbent Mayor Bob Mezzo, a Democrat seeking his third consecutive term, and challenger Jim O'Sullivan, a Republican, will answer questions pertaining to the local business climate from Yvette Wilmot, a local attorney and the chief financial officer for Sarracco Mechanical Services. Wilmot is also chairwoman for the Naugatuck Chamber, a division of the Waterbury Regional Chamber.

Tickets for the event are $30 for Naugatuck Chamber members and $40 for non-members. 

The event was supposed to be held this week but was bumped back due to the fact that a local businessman, Chuck Aquavia, passed away unexpectedly. His services will be held on Thursday.
