Big waste of time. Ohhhh, they'll save $20 here or there switching to 92 brightness paper instead ofRead More 96. You'd think by now the taxpayers in revolt would realize they're just revolting taxpayers and stop costing the town more money with pointless referendums so they can feel important. Change won't come through this process. They need to mount a mayoral campaign and do this from the inside instead of wasting time and resources every summer.

blah, I need to make the point that I am one of the few lucky ones seeing my tax burden go down thisRead More year. luck, of course, is a relative term because I don't know how lucky I am really that my house has lost so much value, but still less taxes is a good thing. but I'm not thinking about me. if i'm paying less, how much more are my neighbors paying? I'm thinking about my neighbors, and my town, all of us are stuck in this endless cycle of increased, irresponsible spending. I too recognize the hard work of our town officials. I know they care, and I know they have tried, and I know their hands are tied by contracts, state mandates, and mistakes of the past. but something does have to give. maybe it's time we declare bankruptcy, because we just have no more to give.
