Naugatuck St. Patrick's Day Road Race to Be Held Saturday

The race starts at 9 a.m. at the Old Corner Cafe.

The Naugatuck Education Foundation is hosting the second annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K Road Race this weekend.

The 3.1-mile race is on March 10 beginning at 9 a.m. with the run and a fun walk starting at the same time. At 10 a.m. there will be a kid’s fun run for ages 12 and under.

The course is mostly flat on Naugatuck streets with some views of the river. It starts at the , 178 North Main St., just off of Exit 27 on Route 8 north and south.

To register, visit www.register.fasttracktiming.com. T-shirts will be available to all those who pre-register by March 6. Race day registration and race packets are available by 7:30-8:45 a.m.

Entry fees are $20 now, which will climb to $25 on race day. Students and walkers pay $10 and the kids fun run is $5.

Awards will be given out to the overall male and female 5K finisher in a series of different age brackets.
