Warner Selects Members for Revitalization Team

Team formed in response to financial challenges facing the theare

Torrington, CT - The Warner Theatre’s newly devised revitalization committee, formed in response to financial challenges facing the theatre, is moving forward under the leadership of recently appointed President Louisa Roraback of Goshen, CT and Brian Mattiello of Torrington, CT.

Since the Warner Board of Directors’ endorsement of the committee last week, several individuals have been approached, or have come forward voluntarily to help. “This surge of support is clear evidence this institution is beloved by many, and its circle of friends and supporters is its greatest asset” said President Roraback.

Immediately lending their time and talents to the Warner Team are Board Members Deb Kenneson, CPA, of Harwinton, CT, Andy Smith of Norfolk, CT, Alan Machuga of Torrington, CT, Attorney Victor Muschell of Torrington, CT, Barbara Dughi of Torrington, CT and Jay Youngling of Litchfield, CT. They have been joined by Elissa Getto, Arts Consultant, Barry Hughson, Executive Director of Boston Ballet and former Executive Director of the Warner Theatre, Dick Terhune of Litchfield, CT, Mark Macomber of Bethlehem, CT, and Sherie Power of Torrington, CT. Also lending support is Dr. Susan Carroll of Torrington, CT and Rod Oneglia of Litchfield CT.

The team has begun its planning work in earnest and is formulating its recommendations across six priority action areas. These areas include Creative Direction and Programming, Expense Management and Cost Structure, Contributed Income and Development, Debt Management and Financing, Executive Leadership, Staffing and Governance, and Communications and Engagement.

Several other individuals with particular skills have registered their interest in helping in specific ways and are expected to take on defined tasks that will prove helpful to stabilizing the organization and readying it for its next growth period
