Obituary: Abelardo P. Carvalho, 84
Mr. Carvalho was retired from Brennan Construction where he worked for many years and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Abelardo P. Carvalho, 84, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Saint Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Bernadeth (Alves) Carvalho.
Mr. Carvalho was born on March 14, 1928 in Belem, Brazil, a son of the late Joao and Laura (Pinheiro) Carvalho. He was retired from Brennan Construction where he worked for many years and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.

He is survived by his four daughters, Mary Carvalho of Waterbury, Merly Carvalho also of Waterbury, Michelle Ashe of Guilford and Marilyn Carvalho of Naugatuck, two brothers, Joao and Elison Carvalho of Belem, Brazil and five grandchildren, Marcelo and Usha Carvalho, Monica Carvalho, Monique Ashe, Richard Ashe and Samantha Ashe. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife he was predeceased by one great-grandson, Christian David Maiorano.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m.
