Obituary: Evelyn A. (Bea) Renzoni Dies at 80

The following obituary was provided by Naugatuck Valley Memorial Funeral Home.

NAUGATUCK — Evelyn A. (Bea) Renzoni, 80, of 3 Burritt Place, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Beacon Brook Health Care Center peacefully surrounded by her family. She was wife of Daniel J. Renzoni Sr.

Mrs. Renzoni was born in Derby on April 22, 1931, daughter of the late John Bea and Anne (Rybinski) (Bea) Szymerski. She was a longtime Naugatuck resident and had worked at Glendale Health Care Center for many years. Evelyn was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and she enjoyed knitting and reading.

Besides her husband of 59 years, she leaves a son, Daniel J. Renzoni Jr. of Naugatuck; three daughters, Deborah A. Diver and Denise Wilkins, both of Naugatuck, and Danielle R. Lieder of Seymour; seven grandchildren, Chris Lieder and his wife, Claudine, Jeff and Adam Lieder, Danielle Diver, Jonathan and Daniel Wilkins, and Daniel Renzoni III; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Lieder and Ariel Diver Pierre; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a grandson, Dustin Diver.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beacon Brook for their kindness and compassion shown during her illness.

Her funeral will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Francis of Assisi Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held today at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m.
