Obituary: Margaret J. (Schwartz) Burke Dies at 65

The following obituary was provided by Naugatuck Valley Memorial Funeral Homes.

NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Margaret J. (Schwartz) Burke, age 65, of 98 Crestwood Drive, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Saint Mary's Hospital with her loving husband by her side. She was wife of Richard A. Burke.

Margaret was born in Bridgeport on Oct. 15, 1945, daughter of the late Otto and Margaret (Brown) Schwartz. She was a resident of Naugatuck since 1977, and she had worked as a designer at Terri's Flower Shop. She enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.


Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Brian Burke of Beacon Falls and Kevin Burke of Apopka, Fla.; three brothers, Wayne, Robert and John Schwartz, all of Milford; five grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan, Lauren, Morgan and Ashlyn; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at 6 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
