Obituary: Michael L. Defosse Dies at 42

WATERTOWN – Mr. Michael L. Defosse, 42, of Bowers Street, Watertown, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 2, 2011.  He was the husband of Velma (Wooster) Defosse.

Michael was born in New Britain on December 12, 1968, a son of Roger and Patricia (Voisine) Defosse of Bristol.  He grew up in Bristol and had resided in Watertown for the past 14 years.  He worked at Watertown Tool Repair in Oakville, Pepsi Company in Bristol, and Siemon Company in Watertown.  

Among his passions was cooking for large crowds.  He spent many hours assisting the sisters at Regina Laudis.  Sister Anastasia once called him “a true Renaissance man," always willing and able to help.

Besides his beloved wife of 15 years and loving parents, he leaves his two children, Jarrett and Sierra Defosse both of Watertown; his two brothers, Alan Defosse of Bristol, Milferd Defosse of Texas; a sister, Cynthia Clarke of Noank, CT; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 6 at 10am at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, East Waterbury Road, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8pm.
