Obituary: Ronald Artman Dies at 46

Former Naugatuck resident, a National Guard member and volunteer of the former Naugatuck Volunteer Ambulance Corp.

WOLCOTT - Mr. Ronald Alan Artman, 46, of Wolcott and a former Naugatuck resident, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday May 17, 2012.

Mr. Artman was born in Pittsburg, Pa., Sept. 4, 1965, a son of Frederick A. Artman, Sr. and Rae E. (Ehrlich) Artman and moved to Naugatuck in his youth.  He was educated in the local school system was a graduate of Emmitt O’Brien Regional Tech. School and the Paramedic program at Naugatuck Valley Community College. He was a former member of the Naugatuck Volunteer Ambulance Corps, had served in the Conn. National Guard for 6 years. He was formerly employed by Campion Ambulance Service of Waterbury and Jessie Camille’s Restaurant in Naugatuck where he had worked for many years.

Besides his parents of Waterbury, he leaves a son, Timothy A. Artman, stationed with the U.S. Army at Fort Campbell, Ky.; 3 brothers, Gregory M. Artman, Carl R. Artman and Frederick A. Artman, Jr., all of Waterbury; 4 nephews, and one niece.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
