Area Cops Drop In on Known Criminals, Sex Offenders

Police were looking to make sure criminals were following rules of their release.

The Connecticut State Police, Prospect Resident Trooper's Office, Middlebury Police and Naugatuck Police jointed forces recently in an operation called “Home Visits”.

The operation consisted of visiting people on parole and probation in the area, especially sex offenders, to make sure they were following the rules of their release, living at addresses being reported, and following other conditions of their release.

The operation resulted in one arrest of a Naugatuck man, Felip Bruno, 22, who was charged with violation of parole.
