Borough Man Busted with Burglar Tools at Fairfield Hotel

Fairfield Police say the Naugatuck man was caught trying to break into a vending machine.

A 24-year-old Naugatuck man is facing felony charges after he was allegedly caught with burglar tools at a Best Western in Fairfield.

According to Fairfield Police, Thomas Cody was arrested Feb. 24 on charges of
third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, third-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny, possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released on a $20,000 professional surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on March 4.

Cody is also scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court Friday for trespassing and narcotics charges out of Trumbull, according to the state Judicial Branch website.
