Two Arrested for Several Naugatuck Break Ins

Police say the incidents happened in May and June.

 

Naugatuck police have arrested two local men who they say stole numerous items from cars on Naugatuck's west side during May and June.

Louis Lewis, 18, of 200 North Hoadley St., is accused of stealing a GPS unit worth $150, a $120 backpack, a Samsung tablet computer worth $249, and a $45 microphone headset from cars, police said.

His alleged accomplice, Matthew Pirulli, 18, of 151 Andrew Ave., is accused of stealing seven GPS units, a wallet, a digital camera, an iPod and a nebulizer from eight different cars, police said. All told, those items are worth about $1,400, police said.

They were charged with several counts of larceny. Both were arraigned Friday at Waterbury Superior Court where their cases were continued.
