Naugatuck Police Net Two DUIs

The most recent arrests also include a reported domestic incident and an alleged larceny from Big Y.


Victor Roman, 30, of 557 Horton Hill Road, Naugatuck, was arrested at 11:58 a.m. on Nov. 11 in relation to a reported domestic disturbance at his residence.

According to police, he held the female victim against a wall in the hallway of the house.

Roman was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree unlawful restraint. He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 13.

Teen Charged with DUI

Jeremy Andino, 18, of 67 Locust St., Naugatuck, was charged with DUI following a routine motor vehicle stop on Picture Lane at 1:58 a.m. on Nov. 10.

He was also charge with failure to keep right at a curve/intersection and operating a motor vehicle in violation of license classification.

Andino was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is due in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 22.

Larceny at Big Y

Reyna Deleon, 54, of 24 Goodyear Ave., Naugatuck, was arrested on a charge of sixth-degree larceny for allegedly stealing $69 worth of groceries from Big Y.

According to police, Deleon is accused of taking bananas, orange juice and cleaning supplies from the store at 10:29 a.m. on Nov. 10.

She was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 21.

Accident Leads to DUI

Kirby Merancy, 22, of 8 Rose Lane, Danbury, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol following a one-car accident on D’Archangelo Drive at 3:04 a.m. on Nov. 11.

She was also charged with failure to drive in the proper lane before being released on a $500 non-surety bond. Merancy is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 29.
