Police: Naugatuck Teen Raped in Woods Near Home

The Naugatuck Police Department arrested three teens in connection with the case.

Three teenagers are accused of raping a 13-year-old Naugatuck girl in the woods near her home Monday evening, according to a news release from the Naugatuck Police Department sent Thursday afternoon to local media.

The teenagers, who are all from Waterbury and are 15-years-old and younger, were charged with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

Police received a call Monday night from a parent who said her daughter had just come home and said she had recently been sexually assaulted in nearby woods by the teens, whom she knew but did not know well, police said.
