UPDATE: Naugatuck Woman Found, Silver Alert Called Off

Family members found the woman and reported she is safe.

Naugatuck police have called off the Silver Alert and search for a Naugatuck woman that had been missing since Sunday afternoon.

Police reported that family members were able to locate Evelyn Curtis, 54, of Cherry Street, safe and in Naugatuck.

Naugatuck police issued a Silver Alert Monday afternoon for a missing woman suffering from dementia.

Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for 54-year-old Evelyn Curtis, who was last seen around noon Sunday at her home on Cherry Street.

Curtis is described as a white female, with brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 5' 5" tall and 184 pounds. According to police, she has no teeth and had a tattoo of "EVELYN" on one arm.

She was last seen wearing grey pants and a maroon jacket with fur around the hood.

Anyone with any information on Curtis' whereabouts is urged to contact Naugatuck police at 203-729-5221.
