NHS Volleyball Beats Watertown 3-0

Victory during Breast Cancer Awareness evening puts Greyhounds at 4-4 overall.

Naugatuck High School Volleyball Defeated Watertown High School Thursday evening in the annual Breast Cancer Awareness “pink” match.

According to Coach Fred Scheithe, the lady Greyhounds won 3-0 during the home match at Naugatuck High School. The game scores were 25-15, 25-13, 25-12.

Leading the way for the Hounds were:
Jess Buckley, 13 points, 4 aces, 18 assists, 4 digs
Lauren Andreoli, 11 points, 3 aces, 4 kills
Sarah Chandler, 9 points, 5 aces, 7 kills, 4 digs
Lani Chucta, 7 points, 2 aces, 3 digs.

The Greyhounds improved their record to 4-4 overall and 2-1 in the Copper Division.

The event followed a brief presentation by guest speakers on the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness.
