Jazz Band to Play Tonight on Green

The Funky Butt Jazz Band is playing tonight on the Green at 7 p.m. as part of the Naugatuck Arts Commission's concerts on the Green summer series.

The commission states on its Facebook page: "Come on down and join us and relax and enjoy the show but don't bring any Alcohol, not allowed on Town Property. Bring some non-perishable food to donate to the FOOD BANK. And don't forget to stop over at the "Non- profit organization's tables" for some refreshments while at the Concert. And please, if you can, when the folks come around with the Buckets... donate to the Ceasar Ruggeri Scholarship Fund for local High School Seniors. Thank You."

The band is led by Piece Campbell. His website states: Pierce has been playing music full time for 25 years. He is a singer/songwriter playing acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo, bass and harmonica and has released five solo CDs. As a solo artist he performs Celtic, Jazz, pop and folk music. He was appointed the Connecticut State Troubadour by the CT Commission on Culture & Tourism for 2007 and 2008.
